About us

Mobil Art was founded in 2018 by a group of Vancouver-based artists on the belief that the expression of creativity is a basic human need that enriches one's life and should be accessible to everyone.Mobil Art was initially a fully 'mobile' concept, giving art classes and history lectures at retirement living homes and various underserved communities, hiring local artists to fill a much needed connection with the communities in which they live.The 'mobil' concept quickly led to the founding of an actual physical school in May of 2019 in Vancouver's historic Chinatown. Mobil became a place where classes were a mixture of play and creativity, specializing in local artist-hosted 'Drink & Draws', ceramics and painting classes, art talks, and more, being recognized in the 2019 edition of The Georgia Straight's "Best of Vancouver'.Mobil art now specializes in Creative Team Building in Ottawa and Vancouver, translating artistically rooted concepts into wider domains, using play-based methods where traditional artistic skills was not a prerequisite. We focus on a range of activities from arts and craft classes to in-depth challenging but fun team activities. Our founding principles remains the same - to provide practical creative skills to foster social connection, genuine creative skills, innovation, and collaboration through art.
